How do I save citations to Zotero?

You can save citations to Zotero by using the Zotero Connector, adding by using a persistent identifier, or manually entering the citation. Each method has benefits and limits, which you can see below.

- Can automatically add the PDF of a source if available
- Citations may need editing depending on what data Zotero is able to pull
- Does not work in mobile
- Add by identifier (aka the "Magic Wand")
- Save a source by entering a persistent identifiers like a DOI or ISBN or by entering a URL (web library only)
- Not every source has a persistent identifier
- Will not automatically add PDFs
- Citations saved from a URL may need editing depending on what data Zotero is able to pull
