Q. Where is the McWherter Library fiction section?

Most fiction is located in the Library of Congress Call Number "P - Language & Literature" section on the 4th floor of McWherter Library. However, Library of Congress organizes fiction differently than what you would see at a public library. The P section mixes together fiction and research and criticism about that fiction, and the different subsections are organized by country. For example, PS is American Literature.

A lot of Young Adult literature is located in the Juvenile section on the 3rd floor. 

You can also find books displays in the 1st floor Rotunda. Our displays include our newest bestsellers and rotating seasonal displays. You can find what has been on our displays plus eBooks online at our Virtual Books Display.

However, if  we do not have what you are looking for, you can borrow from other local college libraries of Memphis Public Library.
