Q. How can I get a private, individual study room in McWherter Library?

All students, staff, and faculty can check out keys to private, individual study rooms called Short Terms Carrels from the Checkout Desk on the 1st floor of McWherter Library. All of the carrels are located in Quiet or Silent Zones on the 3rd and 4th floors. Carrels can be checked out for 4 hours, 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days.

Graduate students can apply to access carrels that can be checked out for an entire semester. Go to the University Libraries Services page for the Graduate Study Carrel Policy and Application.
