Q. How do I make a research appointment with a librarian?

The University Libraries are available to help you with your research project! You can ask a librarian for support with things like:

• Doing preliminary research on a topic.
• Searching for sources to use in your research.
• Evaluating sources for trustworthiness and relevance.
• Organizing and managing your sources.
• Citing sources.

You can schedule a research appointment to meet one-on-one with a librarian in person or online. See the instructions below. Schedule a Research Appointment

To schedule a library research appointment:

1. Go to Research Appointments on the University Libraries website.
2. Select the Location you would like to have your appointment. You can select an Online appointment or an appointment at any one of our libraries: McWherter, Health Sciences, Music, and Lambuth.
3. Select a librarian you would like to work with or "No Preference" if you would like to work with any librarian.
4. Select a day and time that works for you.
5. Click "Continue."
6. Fill out the appointment form. Make sure to indicate what support you are looking for. Most librarians will also allow you to upload a document such as an assignment sheet or draft.
7. Click "Confirm Appointment." Your appointment is now scheduled, and you should receive a confirmation email at the address you used in the appointment form.
