To sync your Zotero, you will need to create free account. Logging in with your account on a new device will allow you to sync your library. See the instructions below for syncing on the Zotero desktop app and Zotero mobile app.

You automatically receive 300 MB of storage, but you can pay to upgrade in the storage settings.

Sync in the Zotero Desktop App

  1. Open the app and select the "Edit" menu in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select "Settings" from the "Edit" menu.
  3. A new box will open. Select the "Sync" tab.
  4. Under "Data Syncing," enter your Zotero username and password and then click "Set Up Syncing."
  5. When your have successfully logged in, the screen will refresh. You will be able to change your syncing settings from this tab now.

Sync in the Zotero Mobile App

When you open the app, you will be given the option to create or log in to a Zotero account immediately, since the Zotero app requires logging in with an account to use. Log in, and your Zotero library will be synced.
