What is Library Lookup?

  • Zotero's Library Lookup feature will search to see if we have access to one of your saved citations in our University of Memphis library collections.
  • If the source is not in our collection, Library Lookup will automatically redirect you to interlibrary loan to get a copy.
  • Library Lookup only works in the Zotero desktop app.

How do I use Library Lookup?

  1. Select a citation in your Zotero library.
  2. Find the "Locate" menu in the pane to the right of the item information. Above the right pane, find and click the Locate Menu. The icon looks like an arrow pointing right in a circle with a small triangle overlapping in the bottom right corner.
  3. Select "Library Lookup" in the Locate Menu.
  4. Zotero will open a new browser tab with access to the article or a link to interlibrary loan.

How do I set up Library Lookup with the University of Memphis's library collections?

  1. Go to the top navigation menu in Zotero.
  2. Select "Edit" and then "Settings."
  3. A new window will open. You should start in the "General" tab.
  4. Scroll down in the "General" tab to the "Locate" heading.
  5. Select the drop-down menu labeled "Resolver".
  6. In the menu, scroll to "North America," and in the list that opens to the right, click University of Memphis.
  7. The box labeled "Base URL" should now display this text:
    https://ezproxy.memphis.edu:3443/login?url=https://resolver.ebscohost.com/openurl?
  8. Close the Settings menu.
