There are several online resources that contain a plethora of information about the Supreme Court and its rulings.

The Supreme Court Database, hosted by Washington University in St. Louis, contains over two hundred pieces of information about each case decided by the Court between the 1791 and 2024 terms. Examples of information included are the identity of the court whose decision the Supreme Court reviewed, the parties to the suit, the legal provisions considered in the case, and the votes of the Justices.

The Supreme Court's official website contains both historical and current Opinions, Oral Arguments, and Case Documents for the public to peruse along with other information such as its history and rules. Users can also search for cases by docket number going back to the 2001 term.

GovInfo’s United States Reports collection includes volumes 2 through 582 of the United States Reports (583 onward are available on the Supreme Court’s website). These are the cases of the Supreme Court compiled and published for the Court by the Reporter of Decisions. They also include information such as a list of Justices and officers of the Court during the Term; an allotment of Justices by circuit; announcements of Justices’ investitures and retirements; memorial proceedings for deceased Justices; a cumulative table of cases reported; orders in cases decided in summary fashion; reprints of amendments to the Supreme Court’s Rules and the various sets of Federal Rules of Procedure; a topical index; and a statistical table summarizing case activity for the past three Court Terms.

The Library of Congress hosts another collection of the United States Reports, containing volumes 1 through 578. They also have guides on doing legal research and how to find free case law online

Government Publications has physical copies of the United States Reports in their Reading Room. These cannot be checked out and must be used inside the library.
