Q. Where can I find information on dates of congressional sessions?

Both the House of Representatives and the Senate websites have pages for Congressional Session dates. 

The Congressional Directory is the official directory of the U.S. Congress. It contains a table of the Sessions of Congress under the heading “Statistical Information,” near the end of the publication. The Congressional Directory is available online through GovInfo. This site contains directories for the 41st Congress (1869-1870) forward along with Interim editions for the 105th Congress (1997-1998) forward. 

The Government Publications Department has physical volumes of the Congressional Directory for patrons to use inside the library. They are located in the Reading Room and cannot be checked out.
