No, due to limited resources, the U of M Libraries cannot purchase for our collection all textbooks used in U of M courses. The University Bookstore sells textbooks for your classes and is available online to order books. They are located on campus directly across from the Michael D. Rose Theatre and behind the University Center.
Here are some other options for you to try:
- Check to see if the textbook is on reserve for your class: Some professors may put a personal copy of the book on reserve. You need to know your class and professor's name. Come to the library circulation desk and we will look up the reserve item. Be sure to have your ID with you.
- Look in The Daily Helmsman classifieds. Many students sell/buy textbooks through the classifieds.
- Type the book title into Google to see if it’s available via Google Books
- Look for reduced prices online through Half.com, Alibris, Abe Books, or other websites.
