If a book is not on the shelf, let the Circulation staff know. If they can't find the book, they will have you fill out a Search/Recall/Hold form & will update the status of the book in the catalog to missing/lost.
You can then fill out an ILL request for that item and in the "Notes" field on the ILL request form, please indicate that the book wasn’t found on the shelf.
